mini buns (roti unyil)

















so cute and good for your little ones. remember...you need to be patients.. with bread !!

ingredients :
  1. 300 gr bread flour
  2. 100 gr all purpose flour
  3. 1 1/2 tsp yeast
  4. 15 gr powder milk
  5. 60 gr sugar
  6. 2 yolks
  7. 1 white egg
  8. 200 ml cold water (ice water)
  9. 75 gr butter
  10. 1 tsp salt

filling : smoked beef, shredded cheese, jam, chocolate pasta, cooked chicken, etc

method :

  • mix well flour, yeast, powder milk and sugar. Add egg and water little by little, mixing well after each addition, until dough is no longer sticky
  • add butter and salt. Knead dough until smooth and elastic about 5 min, cover and let stand for 30 min
  • punch down dough. Devide into balls (@15 gr). Stand for 10 min.
  • give each ball with filling. Stand for another 75 min.
  • Place balls on prepared baking sheet (greased)
  • brush with evaporated milk
  • bake in preheat oven (350 degree F) for 8 min
  • while still hot, brush with butter

Bread (roti isi)

















warning : need to be patient ha..ha..


ingredients :


  1. 300 gr bread flour
  2. 100 gr all purpose flour

  4. 75 gr sugar
  5. 15 gr powder milk
  6. 2 eggs
  7. 125 ml cold water (very cold)
  8. 75 gr butter
  9. 1 tsp salt

for filling : shredded cheese, sausages, chocolate pasta, etc

method :

  • mix well flour, yeast, powder milk and sugar. Add eggs and ice water little by little, mixing well after each addition, until dough in no longer sticky. Add butter and salt. Knead dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let stand for 30 min.
  • punch down dough. Divide into several balls. Let stand for 10 min.
  • preheat oven to 350 degree f. Lightly spread butter on baking sheet.
  • fill each balls with the filling, and place balls on prepared baking pan
  • again, let stand for 90 min.
  • brush with evaporated milk
  • bake for 20-25 min
  • brush hot rolls with butter

hhmm...finally.. really good when still warm

Black Rice Pudding (bubur ketan item)




ingredients :

  1. 2/3 cup (150 gr) black grain glutinous rice


  2. 4 cups (1 litre) water


  3. 1 pandanus lesf, tied into a knot


  4. 1/2 cup (100 gr) sugar, adding extra to taste if desired


  5. 1 cup (250 ml) thick coconut milk


  6. 1/4 tsp salt


method :


  • pour the glutinous rice in a large pan and pick out husks and any foreign particles. Wash several times then soak in water, for 1 hour


  • drain rice, add water. Bring to the boil with pandanus leaf, reduce heat to low and simmer until soft and most of the liquid has evaporated, about 1 hour ( creamy and porridge like ). If it's look dry, stir in 1 cup of water


  • add sugar and cook for another 10 min.


  • combine the thick coconut milk salt in a small pan. heat gently, strring constantly, until it reaches boiling point. Remove the pan from the heat. Serve the porridge in small bowls with a spoonful of coconut milk over the top

Slow Cooker Hot Fudge Sundae Cake
















ingredients :
  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 2 tbs baking cocoa
  4. 2 tsp baking powder
  5. 1/2 tsp salt
  6. 1/2 cup milk
  7. 2 tbs veg oil
  8. 1 tsp vanilla
  9. 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  10. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  11. 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  12. 1 1/2 cups hot water

method :

  • Spray the inside of crock with cooking spray. I a medium bowl, mix the flour, sugar, 2 tbs cocoa, baking powder and salt. stir in milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread batter evenly in bottom of crock
  • Mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa in small bowl. Stir in hot water until smooth. Pour evenly over batter
  • Cover and cook on high setting 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Turn off slow cooker. Let cake stand uncovered 30-4- min to cool slighly before serving. spoon warm cake into dessert dishes and cover with the sauce

Top off the cake with a scoop of ice cream.

Simple stir fry

















easy but taste

ingredients :
  1. french beans/green bean, cut in 1 1/2 inch lengths
  2. firm tofu, dice cut, fried- half cooked
  3. 3 shallots, peeled and sliced
  4. 1 clove garlic, peeled and sliced
  5. 1 tbsp kecap manis - sweet soy sauce
  6. salt to taste
  7. left over chicken, cut - small bite size ( optional)
  8. 1/4 cup water

method :

  • heat oil in a pan, saute shallot and garlic for a few minutes, add green been and water, cook for few minutes
  • add the remaining ingredients, cook until the water is dry

Beef Malbi

















Believe me you will like it !!

Ingredients :

  1. 500 gr top round beef, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices about 1 inch square
  2. 5 tbsp kecap manis - sweet soy sause
  3. 1 sdm palm sugar
  4. 350 ml water
  5. 2 tbsp fried shallot for garnish

spice paste :

  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 3 cm ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp pepper (or pepper powder should be oke)
  • 1/4 of nutmeg (powder is good too - 1/2 tsp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp tamarind juice

method :

  • heat oil in a large pan, saute the paste until the fragrance comes out, add beef. mix, stirring until well coated.
  • add water and simmer, until beef is tender and all the sauce has evaporated
  • serve with warm steamed rice

easy quiches

















Quiches can be served for brunch or lunch. This is one of our favourites.


Ing :



  1. 9 inch unbaked pie crust

  2. 1 cup frozen chopped broccoli

  3. 1/2 cup chopped beef ham/ beef bacon

  4. 1 small onion, chopped

  5. 3 eggs, beaten

  6. 1/2 cup heavy cream

  7. 1/2 cup milk

  8. salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika powder to taste

  9. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or swiss cheese


Directions :




  • preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  • saute onion in hot oil for a while, add the beef ham, cook until brown. Heat off, add remaining ingredients but cheese and stir to combine throughly

  • pour into the pie crust/pastry shell

  • top with shredded cheese

  • bake in the preheated oven for 40 min.

  • cool 10 min before serving


To make a butter flakky pie crust :


ingredients :



  1. 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  2. 1/4 tsp salt

  3. 1/2 cup butter, chilled and diced

  4. 1/4 cup ice water


directions :




  • in a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refregerate for 4 hours or overnight (better).

  • Roll dough out to fit a 9 inch pie plate. Place crust in pie plate. Press the dough evenly into the bottom and sides of the pie plate

Recipes

Laksa bogor :

Bahan :

  1. 300 gr daging ayam. Rebus, suwir2, sisihkan
  2. 500 gr mie, seduh, tiriskan
  3. 100 tauge, bersihkan, seduh dalam air mendidih, aduk2 sebentar, sisihkan
  4. 2 butir telur ayam rebus
  5. 200 ml santan
  6. 1 btg sereh, 3 lbr daun salam, 4 lbr daun jeruk, daun kemangi
  7. garam, minyak utk menumis

Bumbu halus :

  1. 5 btr bw merah
  2. 3 siung bw putih
  3. 5 btr kemiri
  4. 1/2 sdt lada, 1/4 sdt tumbar
  5. 2 ruas kunyit
  6. 1 ruas jahe
  7. 1 iris lengkuas

Membuat :

  • tumis bumbu halus sampai wangi, masukkan bumbu lainnya, aduk rata. Masukkan sisa air rebusan ayam, didihkan.
  • tambahkan santan, garam, didihkan kembali
  • siram kuah di atas mangkuk berisi mie, tambahkan irisan telor, daging ayam, bw goreng dan daun kemangi
  • sambal : haluskan cabai merah, cabai rawit, garam, perasan air jeruk nipis

Tongseng kambing

Bahan :

  1. 500 gr gading kambing, potong2
  2. 1 ltr santan cair
  3. 1 btg serai, laos memarkan, 3 lbr daun jeruk
  4. garam dan merica
  5. 3 bh cengkeh, 1 bh kapulaga (optional)
  6. 6 sdm kecap manis
  7. 3 bh cabai merah, 3 bh cabai rawit, iris serong
  8. tomat, bagi 4 bh
  9. kol diiris kasar

Bumbu halus :

  1. 8 bh bw merah
  2. 4 siung bw putih
  3. 5 bh kemiri
  4. kunyit powder secukupnya
  5. masing2 1/4 sdt tumbar dan jinten

membuat :

  • tumis bumbu halus hingga wangi, masukkan sereh, laos, daun jeruk, lalu masukkan potongan saging. Aduk2 sampai matang
  • tambahkan santan teruskan memasak sampai daging empuk
  • masukkan cengkeh, kapulaga, kecap manis, garam, merica.
  • cicipi, dan teruskan memasak hingga kuah mengental
  • masukkan potongan kol, tomat dan cabai, aduk2 sebentar
  • sajikan dengan bw goreng..

Scrambled eggs (easy peasy)

methods :

  1. 2 eggs - break into bowl, add 2 tbs milk, dash of salt
  2. beat with fork
  3. heat a thin layer of butter in small moderately hot frying pan
  4. pour in egg mixture. Reduce heat to low. Cook slowly, turning gently with broad spatula as mixture starts to set at bottom of pan
  5. servre as soon as eggs are cooked through but still moist and shiny

Ketoprak

Bahan :

  1. 100 gr bihun, seduh air mendidih, tiriskan
  2. 150 gr tauge, bersihkan akarnya, seduh air panas, tiriskan
  3. 8 bh tahu, goreng sampai kecokalta, tiriskan, potong2
  4. kerupuk, kecap manis, seledri cincang, bw goreng

bumbu halus :

  1. 3 bh bw putih
  2. 5 bh cabai rawit
  3. 1 bh cabai merah
  4. 50 gr kacang tanah, sangrai/goreng
  5. 1-2 sdt cuka
  6. 50 cc air masak

menghidangkan :

  • susun berturut2 potogan lontong/ketupat, bihun, potongan tahu, taoge, siram saus, kecap manis, bw goreng, seledri dan kerupuk.

Lontong cap gomeh

Bahan :

  1. 1 ekor ayam
  2. 3 bh tomat merah
  3. 2 jari kunyit
  4. 3 siung bw putih
  5. 5 bh bw merah
  6. 5 bh kemiri
  7. 1/2 jari jahe
  8. 2 cups santan kental
  9. 1 btg serai, memarkan
  10. 2 lbr daun salam
  11. 1/2 jari lengkuas, memarkan
  12. 1 sdm cabai halus

membuat :

  • semua bumbu dihaluskan, kecuali, laos, daun salam, serai. Campur dengan cabai giling, lalu tumis sampai wangi
  • ayam dipotong2, cuci, bersihkan. rebus, tambahkan serai, salam, laos dan garam
  • bumbu halus masukkan, tambahkan santan. masak sampai ayam empuk dan matang.
  • disajikan dengan bawang goreng.. (hidup bw goreng !!)

Ayam kuluyuk

Bahan :

  1. 750 gr daging ayam, potong 1x2x3 cm (hi..hi..)
  2. 1 btr telur, kocok sebentar
  3. 100 gr tepung kanji
  4. 1/2 sdt merica
  5. 1/2 sdt garam
  6. 75 gr bw bombay, iris
  7. 2 siung bw putih, mamarkan
  8. 3 bh cabai merah, buang bijinya, potong 1 cm
  9. 50 cc saus tomat
  10. 1 sdm kecap asin
  11. 2 sdt gula pasir
  12. garam
  13. 1 sdt tepung maezena cairkan dengan 75 cc air
  14. minyak goreng

membuat :

  • campur tepung kanji dengan merica dan garam
  • campur daging ayam dengan telur, gulingkan dalam campuran tepung kanji
  • goreng hingga matang kecoklatan
  • tumis bw putih hingga kuning, masukkan bw bombay dan cabai hingga layu
  • masukkan saus tomat, kecap asin, gula, garam, dan cairan tepung maezena. Masak hingga kental
  • masukkan daging ayam goreng, aduk sebentar dan rata, angkat dari api
